The software I use for the site has just went to a major upgrade. There are a TON of changes that need to be made before upgrading the system. They made over 40 improvements to it and I am waiting on Dylan to do some upgrading of the plugins we use here before I make our move. He had a serious computer crash and is very backed up trying to recover his stuff before he can even move forward with what he has to do code wise.

The board may be shut down for a couple of days for the transition. I do not expect to do this until at least September but I need to let you all know now. I also like to wait so I can monitor the bug reports and see if anyone else has issues with the software.

I have to update all my themes to the new version and I have several clients who will be needing the same work. I am going to be swamped with work!

I will keep you all posted on what is going to happen and when.

I have a board I admin for running MyBB and I need to look at the new upgrade as well. Thanks for keeping things running here!

Cecil, make sure you're updated on all your 1.4 board first or the upgrade will fail.

You should be running v 1.4.13
If you can't find all the upgrades let me know, I may have them stashed someplace for you.

Roger that, it's on 1.4.13 as I just updated it a month ago from 1.2.something. Now the fun begins again, just hope my plugins for spam filtering will still work with it.

Cecil, let the software upgrade 'settle in' for a couple of months. Many of the plugins have not been upgraded yet. That's one of the reasons I'm waiting. I also like to wait so any unexpected bugs are worked out. I think I read a post on the Mybb board where they already found one and corrected it.

OK everyone.... Things were tested and tweaked and poked and prodded and I think I'm ready to do your upgrade tomorrow.

I have a new language translator for you as well. You will now be able to translate right in each individual post with a drop-down list through Google Translate. I think it's only a limited amount of languages but there are plenty of them there as it is. You can also reverse the translation as well - right there in the post.

Now those who do not speak English will be able to type in their native language (as long as that language is on the list) and everyone can translate to their own language.

I most likely will need half a day of the board being closed. That would be EDT USA, most likely starting work around 9AM

Just shut the board down now and am preparing everything.

Only admins can log in for now but I suggest everyone but me leave for a few hours.
